Developmental Editing. This level of edit occurs in the early stages of writing and addresses the "big picture" — your overall organization, flow of ideas, and voice. I will identify problem areas where your ideas can be clarified or expanded and offer suggestions for revision using queries in Microsoft Word.

Line Editing.  This involves sentence-level editing  to strengthen sentence flow, tone, word choice, transitions, and clarity. I revise sentences using tracked changes in Microsoft Word and include author queries in comments. This service includes a project-specific style sheet that records my editorial decisions and helps to achieve consistent style. (Line editing and copy editing services can be combined.)

Copy Editing. A copy edit focuses on grammar, spelling, punctuation, and consistency (e.g., style, terminology, and usage). I suggest edits using tracked changes in Microsoft Word and include author queries in comments. This service includes a project-specific style sheet that records my editorial decisions and helps to achieve consistent style. (Copy editing and line editing services can be combined.)

Proofreading.  When your manuscript is nearly ready for publication, a proofread offers an "errors only" final review. This level of edit focuses on typos, grammatical errors, and consistent layout ( e.g., table of contents, headings, table or figure captions, page numbers).

Fact-checking & Research Support.  I offer comprehensive fact-checking services, grounded in my extensive academc research training, to confirm the accuracy of your manuscript's content.
